This is the second Limited Edition for John Walker & Sons King George V Lunar New Year. This year's design is part of the Johnnie Walker Chinese New Year series designed by artist JiangShan and geatures the BaiZe, a mythical creature which is a symbol of virtuous, auspicious, might, nobleness and protection from the evil.
Auspicious Symbols include:
1. BaiZe “白泽”: A mythical creature which is auspicious & symbolises great wisdom. It is believed that this creature only appears when the nation is governed by a wise king.
2. Emperor's Robes: Synonymous to stability to changes, coupled with the Baize, it becomes a sign of honor for the recipient - as respected and treated like an Emperor
3. Pine Tree: Often used to describe that a person has a great ability to withstand adversity
4. Clouds and Mountains: To symbolize great heights and longevity “寿比南山”
