D’Anna Middleton Lewis (DML VIN) is a collaboration between the D’Anna family, Sam Middleton of Mount Mary, and Jordan Lewis. Specializing in single-site Pinot Noir, their inaugural vintage launched in June 2019.
Bonded by a passion for wine, the D’Anna brothers and Jordan Lewis began exploring joint ventures, sourcing fruit from esteemed growers to highlight regional nuances. In 2017, they seized the opportunity to acquire grapes from a renowned vineyard, marking the genesis of DML VIN.
Their blend, sourced from Balnarring and Merricks vineyards, undergoes 100% destemming and 11 months of maturation in 30% new French oak. It boasts a medium, bright crimson hue and offers an enticing blend of red cherries, crushed strawberries, juniper berries, and hints of white pepper. Medium-bodied with refined tannins, this wine is approachable now yet promises aging potential of up to six to eight years. Rated 95 points with a Special Value Star by James Halliday Wine Companion, it showcases a compelling balance of quality and value.
