The sub-region of Moppa lies at the northernmost tip of the Barossa Valley’s western edge. The undulating landscape is rich with ancient stone and red/ brown loams, mirroring the profile and geological diversity of our own vineyards at Marananga and Seppeltsfield.
The High Ridge block sits at one of the highest points in the Moppa region at around 340 meters above sea level. The elevated location ideal for producing intensely flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
The wine displays wondrous, floral aromas of red cherry and blackcurrant on the nose. The palate is classic Cabernet, with hints of roast capsicum and sage adding textural and savoury elements to the rich layers of black fruit. The long, fine chalky tannins are the hallmark of a grand Cabernet Sauvignon from an outstanding vineyard and exceptional Barossa Valley red wine vintage. Approximately 7,000 bottles produced. Drink now to 2035.
