A blend of three exceptional Kaesler estate vineyards surrounding the winery, this wine was aged in a mix of new and seasoned French Oak Puncheons for 16 months. The Old Vine Shiraz exemplifies the elegance, balance, and complexity typical of Kaesler Shiraz, showcasing rich black fruits and fine tannins.
Vintage Conditions: The 2021 vintage was truly exceptional. Barossa experienced cool, dry weather conditions that resulted in superb quality for both reds and whites. Optimal growing conditions and good yields led to a memorable harvest, with wines displaying a diverse range of aromas and flavors. The reds are distinguished by soft, supple tannins, making them enjoyable in their youth while promising rewards with careful aging. Overall, 2021 stands out as a top-quality season, earning a genuine 10/10 rating.
Winemaking: Harvested from three estate vineyards planted in 1961 and 1965, the grapes were hand-picked and underwent fermentation for 7 to 9 days. The wine was matured for 16 months in a combination of new and seasoned French Oak, with no fining or filtration.
