First established by William Chambers in 1858, the Chambers family has been making wine at Rosewood for over six generations. The Rare Muscat reveals a dark amber color, a sensational bouquet, great concentration, as well as remarkable sweetness and length, but manages to avoid being cloying or over the top.
This is the second most highly rated Rutherglen wine (based on critic scores).

Like sinking into your favorite armchair at the end of a long day, it envelops the senses in a cloak of melted dark chocolate, hazelnut, milky coffee, toffee and the spine of an old library book. The palate is intensely concentrated, with a viscous texture that glides satin-like over the tongue. The alcohol is present but in check, and a remarkable freshness remains. The solera for this wine is meticulously maintained and has been for over 60years, and for a wine to be considered worthy to enter the Rare solera, the single vintage must be of exceptional quality.
