The 2024 Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay is the flagship Chardonnay of the estate and one of Margaret River’s most revered white wines. Produced from the finest vineyard parcels and only in the most outstanding expressions of the vintage, Heytesbury represents the pinnacle of precision, power, and finesse. Presented in magnum format, this release offers greater ageing potential and slower, more graceful evolution in bottle.
Vineyard and Winemaking
Fruit is sourced from select vineyard sites across Margaret River, chosen for concentration, natural acidity, and site character. Hand-harvested fruit was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barriques, with a carefully judged proportion of new oak to build complexity and structure. Extended lees maturation and partial malolactic fermentation added textural richness and integration while preserving freshness and mineral precision.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet reveals white peach, lemon curd, and grapefruit layered with flint, roasted cashew, and subtle brioche. The palate is concentrated yet tightly wound, delivering citrus and stone fruit intensity balanced by creamy texture and vibrant acidity.
