The 2024 Noon Winery Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful yet classically structured expression of Langhorne Creek Cabernet, crafted in a traditional, uncompromising style by Noon Winery. Produced only in select vintages, the Reserve bottling represents the pinnacle of Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate, sourced from mature, low-yielding vines grown on the region’s distinctive alluvial soils.
Langhorne Creek’s natural cooling influence from Lake Alexandrina allows for long, even ripening, delivering Cabernet Sauvignon with depth, balance, and natural freshness. The 2024 vintage provided excellent conditions for flavour development, resulting in fruit of exceptional concentration and structure.
In the winery, grapes were hand-harvested and traditionally fermented, with extended maceration to build tannin depth and longevity. The wine was matured in high-quality oak barrels over an extended period, carefully chosen to support the fruit rather than dominate it, reinforcing the wine’s classic profile and long cellaring potential.
On the nose, the wine reveals intense aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, dark plum, and cedar, layered with notes of tobacco leaf, graphite, bay leaf, and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied and authoritative, showing dense dark fruit, firm yet polished tannins, and a long, savoury finish that reflects both vineyard pedigree and disciplined winemaking.
While approachable with decanting in its youth, the 2024 Noon Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is built for the cellar and will reward patience over 15–25+ years, developing complex tertiary characters of leather, earth, and cigar box.
