Overview
Domaine Simha Sanskrit Vin Gris Rose is a tiny-production Tasmanian rose made from Pinot Noir, crafted in a textural, mineral and food-friendly style. Only 50 dozen, around 600 bottles, are produced.
Made by the vin gris method, this rose captures sheer flamingo elegance with fragrant notes of peony rose, strawberry, petitgrain and pink peppercorn spice. It is bright, delicate and savoury enough for long lunches, seafood, charcuterie and relaxed afternoons on the deck.
Method Naturel
The fruit comes from a cool-climate single vineyard in Tasmania's Derwent Valley at 42.6 degrees south. Grapes are handpicked on a fruit day before the harvest moon, whole-bunch basket pressed, wild fermented and matured for 6 months on lees.
The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving natural texture, purity and balance.
