The 2023 growing season in Central Otago was marked by a cool, steady ripening phase with excellent diurnal variation, allowing flavours to develop slowly while maintaining superb acidity. These ideal conditions produced Pinot Noir of exceptional purity, fine tannin structure and lifted aromatics — traits that define this vintage.
The nose is deep and expressive, offering aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry, cranberry and redcurrant. Notes of rose petal, violet, thyme, forest floor and subtle smoky spice add complexity. A faint mineral edge reflects the schist-driven soils of the region.
