Origin and Vineyard
Crafted in Martinborough, New Zealand, this single vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a premium site dedicated entirely to the Devotus label. The vineyard is organically farmed, low-yielding, and planted with carefully selected Pinot clones suited to Martinborough’s cool-climate terroir.
Winemaking and Style
Hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard, the 2023 vintage was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in fine French oak barrels, with a restrained use of new oak to highlight purity and site character. Bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve texture and complexity.
Tasting Profile
Deep garnet in color, this Pinot Noir opens with lifted aromatics of red cherry, raspberry, and rose petals. Subtle notes of baking spice, forest floor, and graphite add depth. The palate is silky and vibrant, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a long mineral finish. This is a refined expression of Martinborough Pinot Noir, offering precision and aromatic complexity.
Cellaring and Food Pairing
Enjoyable now with a short decant, this wine will reward cellaring for 5 to 8 years. Pairs beautifully with duck, grilled mushrooms, or herb-crusted lamb.
