A textural aromatic white wine full of flavour and life.
Made through the blending of Roussanne and Viognier, White Duck is full of texture and vibrancy. Fermented in 500L French oak barrels, it shows a lovely fusion of typical varietal characters. The Roussanne providing earthiness, roundness and fresh natural acidity, and the Viognier filling that palate with stone fruits and texture.
The nose is rich and seductive. Aromas of stone fruits, citrus rind, meal and honey lift out of the glass. This wine is delightfully textural with richness from extended yeast exposure. Flavours of stone fruits, tropical fruits, and a little honey coat your palate. There is a tiny little spritz to this wine which disappears in a minute or two, leaving a wine with silky texture and a beautiful acid line cleansing the palate. 100% barrel fermented with 15% new French oak used and matured for 6 months on yeast lees. A wine that will cellar well for up to 8 years. 13.6% Vol.
