About This Wine
This single vineyard Chardonnay is produced by Xige Estate from the West Pigeon Vineyard in the Dove Mountain area, within the Helan Mountain wine region. The wine is made from Chardonnay vines with an average age of 20 years.
The wine is aged for 12 months in 300L French oak barrels, with 30% new oak and 70% one-year-old barrels.

“Marzipan and spicy tweaks from the wood with a subtle creaminess that is not yet fully integrated. Some ripe, spiced pineapples and lemon rind on the fruit side. Quite flavorful and round with a saline twist to the medium- to full-bodied palate. Medium levels of acidity allow it to maintain its freshness.”

Founded in 2017, Xige Estate is located in the Dove Mountain area of the Helan Mountain wine region. The estate owns approximately 2,000 hectares of planted vineyards and focuses on combining modern technology with respect for nature to explore the potential of Ningxia terroir.
