The 2021 Vasse Felix Tom Cullity Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec is the flagship wine of Margaret River’s founding estate, named in honour of Dr Tom Cullity, who planted the region’s first vines in 1967. Crafted from the estate’s oldest vineyard blocks, this vintage showcases the elegance, depth, and longevity for which Tom Cullity is renowned. The bouquet is intensely aromatic, with layers of blackberry, blackcurrant, mulberry, and wild plum, supported by subtle hints of violet, cedar, dried herbs, and graphite. The palate is powerful yet refined, delivering concentrated dark fruits intertwined with savoury complexity, fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity. The long, precise finish lingers with notes of cassis, dark chocolate, and mineral spice.
