2021 Pierro Vintage Reserve Chardonnay Margaret River – Pierro VR Chardonnay is the cream of the crop and mainly comes from the oldest vines planted in 1980. Hand picked and hand sorted and then gently cold pressed to release the finest free run juice which was fermented in Burgundian French oak barriques. It is then matured in these barriques for 12 months with regular battonage and malolactic fermentation. It was bottled and then stored in their temperature-controlled cellars to allow the wine to age gracefully before release.

So it can take many years to build a body of knowledge. I first made Chardonnay in 1980 and I hope this wine expresses the 40 years of accumulated experience and heritage. We have matured this wine for 4 years in bottle for you and it is ready to drink now.
