At Kaesler, we enjoy experimenting with some non-traditional Barossa varieties that we know will appeal to consumers. Unlike some of our other wines, Barbera stands out by its name alone; it is the Barbera variety, traditionally grown in Italy, but it thrives exceptionally well in Australia.
Vintage Conditions
The 2021 vintage was simply ‘Brilliantââ‚? Barossa experienced cool and dry conditions, resulting in excellent quality reds and whites. The combination of great growing conditions and good yields led to a memorable harvest, with wines displaying a wide array of aromas and flavors. The reds are notable for their soft, supple tannins, making them enjoyable in their youth while also rewarding careful cellaring. The highlight of 2021 was the overall quality, making it a genuine 10/10 season.
