The 2021 Elderton Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon is a flagship single-vineyard wine sourced from the iconic Ashmead block planted in 1944, situated in the heart of Nuriootpa, Barossa Valley. Revered for its low-yielding old vines and deep-rooted character, this Cabernet delivers concentration, elegance, and age-worthiness in perfect harmony.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2021 growing season was near-perfect, with moderate weather and long ripening periods that produced small, intensely flavoured berries. Hand-picked and matured for 24 months in 100% new French oak, the wine is built for structure and finesse.

Palate: Full-bodied yet refined, offering flavours of blackcurrant, plum, spice, cedar, and fine-grained tannins. The oak is seamlessly integrated, and the finish is long, fresh, and savoury.
Cellaring & Pairing
This wine will age gracefully for 15¨C20+ years. Best paired with premium cuts of beef, lamb rack, or truffle risotto. Decanting is recommended in its youth.
