This single-vineyard wine is crafted from gnarly old vines, planted in the 1940s, growing on the steepest, rockiest part of the vineyard. With minuscule yields, the vines produce a wine that boasts exceptional acidity - akin to that of a white wine. The ironstone, quartz, and shale-rich soil infuse the wine with a unique mineral complexity. A vivid array of flavors unfolds with fresh roses, Turkish delight, blood orange, blueberry, raspberry, and kirsch, all balanced on a silky, medium-weighted palate. This highly concentrated Grenache offers a hedonistic yet refined profile, perfect for drinking now or aging for up to 20 years.
