The 2021 Bass Phillip Estate Chardonnay is a refined expression of Gippsland terroir, crafted with meticulous care from low-yielding, biodynamically farmed vineyards. A cool and relatively long vintage allowed for slow, even ripening, resulting in fruit with exceptional balance and purity.
On the nose, it reveals bright aromas of white peach, lemon zest, nectarine, flint, and subtle toasted hazelnut. The palate is focused and linear, offering layers of citrus, stone fruit, saline minerality, and integrated oak spice. A silky texture and vibrant acidity support a long, graceful finish, showcasing the hallmark elegance of Bass Phillip¡¯s house style.
