Crafted in the rolling hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga in Tuscany, this 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva reflects Vallepicciola¡¯s dedication to structure, elegance, and terroir expression. Made primarily from Sangiovese with a small proportion of Merlot, the wine undergoes extended maturation in French oak barrels for enhanced complexity.
The nose is inviting and refined, showing aromas of black cherry, violet, dried herbs, leather, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is well-balanced and layered, with flavors of red berries, licorice, forest floor, and a touch of tobacco. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity provide structure and a lingering, elegant finish.
This Riserva is a classic food wine¡ªperfect with roast meats, aged pecorino, wild mushroom pasta, or Tuscan stews. Drink now or cellar up to 10 years for further evolution.
