Fruit is sourced from carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards across the Barossa Valley, where warm days and cool nights allow for full ripeness while preserving natural acidity. The 2020 vintage delivered fruit of excellent concentration and tannin quality, resulting in a wine of both depth and structure.
In the winery, fruit was fermented using traditional methods and pressed in basket presses before maturation in seasoned oak barrels. This approach minimises overt oak influence, allowing varietal character and regional expression to take centre stage while building texture and complexity over time.
The wine reveals aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, and dark plum, layered with notes of cedar, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, and subtle spice.
