Vineyard & Origin:
Bordered by Meursault to the north and Chassagne-Montrachet to the south, Puligny-Montrachet lies at the heart of the world’s greatest Chardonnay terroir, home to the legendary Montrachet vineyards.
The Le Trézin parcel sits high on the Puligny hillside at nearly 400 metres altitude, neighbouring the Premiers Crus Sous le Puits and La Garenne. The name “Le Trézin” refers to the natural springs that flow through the area—its Celtic root tr/tor means “flowing water,” while the suffix -in appears in other local rivers.
Vinification:
Grapes are pressed as whole bunches in a pneumatic press immediately after harvest. The juice is statically settled for 24 hours at 12 °C before being transferred directly into barrels for alcoholic and malolactic fermentations.
Ageing:
Aged 14 months in lightly toasted (“blonde”) French oak barrels, 30 % new.
Winemaker Notes:
A rich, powerful, and mineral wine, typical of the Puligny style. Aromas of citrus and subtle oak give way to a structured palate with notes of exotic fruits.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with white meat, grilled or roasted fish, raw fish and sushi, shellfish, oysters, and seafood.
Perfect pairing suggestion: Oysters au gratin with chanterelles.
