“All cabernet, all Houghton clone, all classy. There's a whorl of excellent fruit – cassis, currants, blackberries and mulberries – tamed by woodsy spices, a carapace of oak perfectly suited, too, fresh herbs and more besides. Still in a youthful phase even for a cabernet with a few years under its belt. The tannins are rich, textural and plentiful and acidity leads this to a resounding finish.”

The wine was cold-soaked for up to 5 days, spent 11 days on skins and was matured for 20 months in French barriques, 34% new.
