The 2019 vintage in Bordeaux delivered exceptional fruit quality, with warm conditions balanced by freshness, resulting in wines of concentration, purity, and structural finesse. At Haut-Brion, the blend is typically led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, sourced from the estate’s historic gravelly soils that contribute complexity and longevity.
The wine opens with an intense and layered bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, intertwined with signature notes of graphite, tobacco, cigar box, and subtle smoky minerality.
