“A wine of absolute charm. It’s a 75/25% blend in cabernet’s favour though it presents as a seamless whole. Blackcurrant, mulberry, roasted nut and fresh briar flavours come brightened by redcurrant. Tannin has melted in, clean acidity keeps it all fresh and true, the finish feels assured. It will age gracefully and (very) well.”
About This Wine
Agincourt is a Cabernet Sauvignon–Malbec blend from Yarra Yering in the Yarra Valley. The wine is styled as a rich and intense red, designed to age gracefully over time.
About the Winery
Yarra Yering is one of the oldest wineries in the Yarra Valley, established in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus. The winery is now owned by Ed Peter and Reid Bosward.
Winemaker and general manager Sarah Crowe joined Yarra Yering in 2013 and has twice been awarded James Halliday Winemaker of the Year, in 2017 and 2021.
