Region and Vineyard
Produced from the historic Paje vineyard in Barbaresco, Piedmont, this wine is a pure expression of Nebbiolo grown on calcareous marl soils with a high limestone content. Roagna has farmed this site with organic principles, focusing on low yields and extended vine age to ensure depth and character.
Winemaking Approach
The grapes are harvested by hand, then undergo an extended maceration of up to 60 days to extract fine tannins and aromatic complexity. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured in large neutral oak casks for five years before bottling without filtration or clarification. Alcohol is approximately 14 percent.

Nose: Aromas of rose petals, cherry, sweet tobacco, crushed herbs, and orange peel
Palate: Elegant and precise, featuring red berry fruit, dried flowers, fine mineral tension, and firm yet harmonious tannins. A long, focused finish underscores the wine¡¯s aging potential
Style and Cellaring
Structured yet refined, this Barbaresco offers a balance of power and finesse. It is approachable now with decanting but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 15 to 20 years

Ideal with truffle risotto, braised veal, mushroom-based pasta, or aged cheeses. Its acidity and structure complement richly flavoured dishes without overpowering them.
