As Moorilla’s flagship red under the Cloth Label range, this wine combines depth, balance, and understated power, showcasing the harmony of carefully selected estate fruit.
Vineyard and Winemaking
Sourced from Moorilla’s vineyards in southern Tasmania, the fruit benefits from long ripening seasons and moderate maritime influence, allowing for flavour development while retaining natural acidity. The varieties were fermented separately before maturation in French oak barriques, a portion new, to build structure and aromatic complexity. The final blend was assembled to achieve integration, depth, and finesse.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of black cherry, plum, and blackberry layered with notes of violet, spice, and subtle cedar. The palate is medium to full-bodied, offering concentrated dark fruit framed by fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Savoury undertones and gentle oak influence lead to a long, poised finish of clarity and balance.
