About This Rum
The Havana Club Tributo 2018 is the third edition in the Tributo Collection, a limited-release series that showcases the craftsmanship and innovation of Cuba’s most renowned rum distillery.
This 2018 expression was created by Havana Club’s master blenders using a selection of well-aged Cuban rums, finished in casks that previously held peated Scotch whisky.
This unique maturation process introduces an additional layer of smoky complexity rarely seen in Cuban rum.
Bottled at 40 % ABV, this small-batch release was limited to 2,500 bottles worldwide, highlighting the artistry and experimentation behind the Tributo range.
About the Distillery
Produced by Havana Club, Cuba’s iconic rum distillery, now owned by Bacardi.
Known for preserving traditional Cuban rum-making methods, Havana Club rums are crafted from molasses-based distillates aged in oak barrels under the island’s tropical climate, resulting in deep, balanced flavour profiles.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Dried fruit, raisin, and oak with gentle smoky undertones.
Palate: Rich notes of vanilla, caramel, and dried fruits blending with subtle peat smoke and toasted oak.
Finish: Lingering warmth with balanced sweetness and a light touch of smoke.
