Crafted from Chardonnay grown in the premier cru vineyard Les Chaumées, this wine reflects both the mineral elegance of its high-elevation terroir and the precision of Caroline Morey’s artisanal approach.
Vineyard and Winemaking
Les Chaumées sits on the upper slopes of Chassagne-Montrachet, where limestone-rich soils and cooler exposures yield wines of tension and finesse. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels, a small proportion new, allowing a subtle framework of spice and texture. Ageing on fine lees enhances depth and mouthfeel while maintaining the clarity and focus that define Morey’s style.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in colour with shimmering brightness. Aromas of white peach, lemon curd, hazelnut, and acacia blossom rise from the glass, layered with hints of flint and wet stone. The palate is vibrant yet refined, combining ripe citrus and orchard fruit with chalky minerality and restrained oak. The finish is long and pure, carried by lively acidity and a fine saline edge.
