The 2016 season in Champagne was shaped by dramatic spring frosts and summer warmth, followed by a cool, dry ripening period that produced Pinot Noir of outstanding intensity and structural definition. This vintage is marked by clarity, freshness and layered complexity — qualities that shine through in the Grand Vintage Rosé.
The wine opens with refined aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, blood orange and redcurrant. Subtle floral notes of rose petal and hibiscus intertwine with hints of pastry, almond, brioche and chalky minerality. Gentle savoury tones of pepper, dried herbs and rosehip reflect the maturity of the Pinot Noir component.
On the palate, the 2016 Grand Vintage Rosé is poised and textural, offering a harmonious interplay of juicy red fruit, crisp citrus and fine, chalk-driven acidity. The mousse is delicate and persistent, carrying flavours of red berries, pink grapefruit, crushed raspberry and subtle spice across a long, refined finish.
