About This Wine
This Grand Cru Échezeaux from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is sourced from a plot of roughly one acre at the upper limit of the appellation. The site’s altitude contributes to the wine’s aromatic freshness, while its east/south-east exposure encourages early maturity. Soil composition grows lighter with elevation, shaping the wine’s character. The original planting dates to the late 1940s, with about a quarter replanted more recently. The grapes tend to be small, ripen quickly, and must be harvested promptly to avoid spoilage. Maturation is in oak.
