The 2016 Bindi Original Vineyard Pinot Noir 750ml is a superb expression of the Macedon Ranges’ heritage vines. A season of ideal ripening has produced a wine of generosity and poise. Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and rose petal are lifted by hints of spice, forest earth, and fine oak. The palate is silky yet structured, with layers of bright red fruits, savoury undertones, and finely woven tannins. Elegant, balanced, and long on the finish, it reflects the purity of fruit and meticulous craftsmanship for which Bindi is renowned.
Critic tasting note: (2016 vintage) "Very complex and packed with interest. This has a very attractive and sappy darker cherries, raspberries and rosehip on the nose. There are also deep-set biscuit spices and cherry pastry notes. The palate delivers a very crisp, clear-cut core of red cherries and red plums. The tannins are well defined, building weight into the finish. Drink or hold." - James Suckling
