Tasting Notes
This vintage opens with an inviting pale gold hue and a complex nose of white peach, citrus zest, and roasted almonds, accompanied by hints of vanilla, flinty minerality, and subtle oak spice. On the palate, it delivers a beautifully textured balance of ripe stone fruits, crisp acidity, and a creamy mid-palate, leading to a long, elegant finish with a touch of nuttiness and saline minerality.
Winemaking
Sourced from select parcels of low-yielding, high-quality Chardonnay vines in the Hunter Valley, the fruit is hand-picked and fermented in French oak barriques. A portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, contributing to its rich mouthfeel, while extended aging on lees enhances texture and complexity.
