The 2015 Bindi Original Vineyard Pinot Noir 750ml showcases the elegance and precision of the Macedon Ranges’ original plantings. A warmer yet balanced vintage has produced a wine of remarkable depth and charm. Aromas of ripe red cherry, wild raspberry, and rose petal intertwine with subtle spice, forest floor, and fine oak nuances. The palate is silky and refined, offering vibrant red fruits, earthy complexity, and beautifully integrated tannins. A harmonious balance of power and finesse, this Pinot Noir reflects both the unique terroir and Bindi’s meticulous winemaking.
Critic tasting note: (2015 vintage) "This has a slightly deeper hue than the Block 5 but carries the same sense of restraint and purity. The nose has deep-set spicy aromas, some gently flinty/stony notes and a gently leafy autumnal edge to boot. The fruits are centered around blueberries, dark cherries and pomegranates. It's really fresh. With its super smooth texture, the palate has mouth-filling presence in the form of supple, soft and fleshy red plums, raspberries, cassis and dark-cherry flavors. There's a late flurry of spices, and the balance is effortless, floating up out of the finish. Concentrated and balanced. From a great vintage. Approachable now, this has 15+ years in the tank.
