Producer tasting notes: "The colour is deep red, with a brick hue typical for this age. Has an attractive, mature nose Vith cedar/spice, tobacco and licorice notes, along with fruit chutney. This is a medium ratler than heavy weight wine, typical of 2004. There is a nice soft texture to the palate with fresh acidity providing balance. Gives the sense of being restrained rather than bold. The 2004 Shiraz Reserve, aged in large American oak hogsheads and foudres for 18 months, boasts great intensity, superb richness, and a glorious perfume of camphor, acacia flowers, blueberries, and blackberry liqueur. Unctuously textu rich, and dense, this brilliant Shiraz should age effortlessly for 12-15 years.
