Our 2012 'The Prophet' Pinot Noir holds a special place in our hearts and shines at any dinner party. With vibrant aromas of cherry, plum, and raspberry, it offers a textured and well-balanced palate.
Crafted entirely from our Yarra Junction Pinot Noir vineyard (Clones 114, 115, Mv6), the grapes were handpicked, de-stemmed, and fermented in open pot vessels with Burgundian yeast. Aged for nine months in French oak, this 13% alc/vol wine is a testament to careful winemaking.
Tasting Notes
Bright and complex aromatics feature blackberry, wild strawberry, cranberry, star anise, and hints of violet, tobacco, and truffle. On the palate, red currant, dark cherry, and raspberry are complemented by oak spice, natural acidity, and a long, persistent finish.
