The timeless Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon, renowned for its exquisite aroma, pristine blackcurrant fruit, hints of dried herbs, and robust structure, epitomizes the enduring wine style of Margaret River's history. Sourced from the sheltered Wallcliffe Vineyard, planted from 1970 to 1973, this wine is crafted using traditional Bordeaux methods with an Australian influence. Following a gentle basket pressing, each batch undergoes maturation in new (50–60%) and one-year-old French oak for a duration ranging from 18 to 24 months.
Dark rich powerful palate with a fine elegant structure still showing great fresh vibrancy of fruit. The long finish has fine chewy powdery tannins.
