About This Wine
Farrside is located in the Geelong region of Victoria, Australia. The vineyard sits on a northeast-facing slope with limestone topped by black volcanic soil. The vines, planted in 2001, run east–west to protect fruit from excessive sun. Clones include 114, 115, 777, 667 and MV6.
Despite being only 300 metres from the Sangreal vineyard, Farrside is cooler with darker soils, resulting in grapes harvested 10–12 days later and producing a more structural, savoury style.
This wine represents the Red – Light and Perfumed style typical of the region.

Nose: Deep meaty, spicy and mineral notes with red and black fruits.
Palate: Fresh, edgy and structured with savoury components.
Finish: Firm yet delicate with a long-textured finish.

Hand-picked and sorted in the vineyard
Fermented in open-top fermenters
40–50% stem inclusion
