Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz is one of Penfolds’ most established red wine styles, developed in the 1950s to explore the harmony between Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with oak maturation.

About This Wine

The 1987 Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz combines the structure and elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness and depth of Shiraz, reflecting Penfolds’ long-standing house style and focus on balance, longevity and regional expression.

Fermented and matured for 18 months in American oak hogsheads, the wine shows a medium deep red colour with classic Penfolds aromatics and a firm, leafy structure shaped by its oak and tannin profile.
